Introduction to Endurance 10 watt DPSS laser head.
Diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) laser from Endurance lasers is a new type of solid-state laser, ultimate beam quality (57 microns) @80 mm focal range from the lens (3.25”) enables your 3D printer and CNC machine to mark and engrave on any metallic surfaces including steel, stainless steel, copper, brass, aluminum, and other alloys WITHOUT ANY ENGRAVING PASTE.
The Endurance DPSSL modules consist of a laser pump source, coupler, rare earth element doped special fiber (Nd:YAG), resonate cavity and other components including AC/DC (PSU).
The technical specifications and performance of high power DPSS laser are far better than the common solid-state
laser. Therefore, DPSSL is well agreed to be the new generation substitute of solid-state laser. Now it has already been widely applied in high accuracy laser cutting and laser engraving.

Kapton laser cutting
Kapton is a polyimide film developed by DuPont in the late 1960s that remains stable (in isolation) across a wide range of temperatures, from −269 to +400 °C (−452 to 752 °F; 4 to 673 K). Kapton is used in, among other things, flexible printed circuits (flexible electronics) and space blankets, which are used on spacecraft, satellites, and various space instruments.

Safety issues. This laser has invisible radiation (1064 nm wavelength is not visible for our eyes) so be very careful while operating the laser. Class 4.
Recommended Protective goggles
Always wear protective goggles while you operate the laser or at least add a special protective enclosure since this type of laser is class 4. Wear goggles with OD5+.

Our DPSS laser module can be operated from any software you run to control your 3D printer / CNC machine / XY plotter.

T2Laser / Lightburn.
via PWM (5V) TTL wires / analog signal MO2 PCB.
The frequency of a PWM controller (TTL signal) is 25KHz.
A wiring example
Wires come out of the DPSS LaserBox:
Power supply wires
1 – 12V+ wire
2 – 12V- (GND/COM) wire
3 – Ground wire
4 – PWM (Red) wire
5 – GND (Black wire or bare) wire
Wires to the laser.
Wires “1”, “2”, “3” are connected to the power supply (img2).
To connect according to the diagram (Acorn CNC), you need to disconnect wire “1” from the power supply and connect it to connector “OUT 4” on the ‘Relay Board’. You will need an extra wire to connect the “12V+” connector on the power supply and the ‘E-Stop Switch’. Next, from the ‘E-Stop Switch’, the wire must be connected to the connector “OUT 1” on the ‘Relay Board’. The connectors “OUT 1” and “OUT 4” on the ‘Relay Board’ must be connected as shown in the diagram.
Before connecting the DPSS as shown in the diagram, connect the PWM cable to the controller.
The PWM cable must be connected to a 25-pin connector. Wire “4” (PWM) to pin 14. Wire “5” (GND) to pin 18.
Then check the functionality of DPSS. If DPSS works, then you can start connecting it according to the indicated scheme.
