Endurance lasers impulses generator

Endurance lasers start developing a new laser box extension with Mo2 PCB for pulses generation.

Endurance pulses generator will be able to make single and multi pulses with different frequencies and different pulse width.

 

Types of pulses: single pulse / multi pulses (setup amount of pulses).

(Programmable pulses)

Frequency: 1Hz – 100 kHz

Min pulse width: 50 ns

Max pulse width: not limited

Voltage range: 2-10V (0.1V step)

Current range: 0-8A (0.1A step)

 

 

Detailed technical description:

USB-controlled pulse generator.

Generator function:
1. 3 Modes of operation. They are set from a computer using their own software.

2. Single impulse mode. The parameters are set from the computer:

a) Pulse duration (from 4 μs to 1 sec)
b) Pause duration from (4 μs to 10000 sec)
c) Number of impulses (from 1 to 1,000,000)

 

3. PWM operating mode. The parameters are set from the computer:

a) PWM signal frequency from 250Hz to 50KHz
b) PWM duty cycle from 1% to 99%

 

4. Mode of the generator meander. The parameters are set from the computer:

a) Signal frequency from 250Hz to 50KHz

 

5. The amplitude of the output signal is not adjustable and is equal to 3.3V

 

6. Interface for connecting to a computer: USB without using external microcircuits. Implementation of communication through virtual COM port through built-in controller resources. Choose the controller yourself, preference Microchip controllers, but you can choose any other based on your choice.

 

 

Software requirement:

1. Work in OS Windows x86 / x64 7 and higher.
2. Automatic detection of the connected generator. If the alarm is not connected, it is not possible to work without
connecting the generator.
3. Configuring all of the above parameters of the generator through the graphical interface of the program.
(checkbox, text fields, etc.)
4. Button start and stop of the generator in the program.

 

To be done:

Develop a generator circuit, printed circuit board, write software for the generator controller and software for Windows.
Transfer firmware and software source codes for Windows, schematic in PDF format, printed circuit board in CAD format (e.g. PCAD
and above), Gerber file for PCB production.
