The highlights of the small diode lasers are as follows:
They:
• are easy to be installed;
• use the same software as a CNC machine or a 3D printer;
• are easy to be connected to the control board of the machines;
At the same time the Endurance diode lasers are rather powerful. The 8 W laser can easily cut through 4 mm of plywood with one pass and 5 mm of wood (but if you use a G2 short-focal lens). Besides, the 8 W laser can engrave painted or anodized surfaces of aluminum, steel, and brass, cut acrylic up to 8 mm thick by only three passes.
This is quite impressive. To do the same with a CO2 laser you need 60-80 W of its power.

Unlike bulky СО2 lasers, diode lasers are rather reliable. The diode life-time is up to 10000 hours.
Up to now these tehnologies have not been available.
Unfortunately, Chinese lasers are of a very low quality and can’t withstand any stress-tests.
