Endurance Lasers have found a way to increase laser power by combining two laser beams together.

Plywood 3 mm (3/16’’) (density 0.7 g/ Cm^3 (cutting) | 100% | 280 х 3 loops |
Plywood (engraving) | 36% | 1500 |
Leather 2 mm (cutting) | 100% | 600 |
Leather (engraving) | 15% | 1500 |
Stainless steel (engraving) | 100% | 180 |
Paper | 60% | 1500 |
Ortur laser standalone unit (5.5 watt)
Material | Power | Speed mm / min |
Plywood 3 mm (3/16’’) (density 0.7 g/ Cm^3 (cutting) | 100 | 100 х 4 loops |
Leather 2 mm (cutting) | 100 | 220 |
Stainless steel (engraving) | 100 | 50 |
The basic principle is very simple – The Endurance laser beam combiner combines one beam with an S polarization vector and a P polarization vector.
The mirror (on the left) reflects a laser beam, then this beam is combined with its reflection inside a PBS (a polarizing beam splitter).
The entire system allows to combine the power of the two lasers and focus the combined power at a single point, forming a minimum laser beam spot.
Endurance customers are very happy with our laser beam combiner system!

If each laser has 4 watt power output then after combining you will get around 7-7.5 watt of power output.

If every laser has about 7-8 watt power output then the combined laser beam will be around 13-14 watt power out.

Leather cut / engraving
What we use
– Plywood 3.2 mm (3/16”), density 0.7 g / cm^3
– Ortur + Sainsmart laser beam combiner (7.5 watt optical laser power output)
– PVA glue is useful for strong assembly
– Layout in vector format
We created this layout ourselves. For the base, they took a box measuring 10 by 10 cm, generated on the GENERATOR OF BOXES website.
Laser cutting with Ortur + Sainsmart laser beam combiner system (7.5 watt optical power output) perfectly cuts 3mm plywood at 300mm / min in 2 passes. Thus, cutting all the elements took 40 minutes.
READY. With modeling, it took us 3 hours, without modeling it will take 2 times less – about 1.5 hours.
