In this post, we show the basic principle of the laser alarm system.
The basic idea is very simple: we have a laser transmitter and a photodiode receiver.
The laser sends modulated (encrypted) pulses with the data and the receiver.
Once something blocks the laser beam – the receiver sends an error message that the transmission is lost.
This technology is based on FSO laser.
That means that it is not just the laser beam that goes through the air, it sends some data like in optical fibers.
It can be used in the highly efficient alarm system and in perimeter security laser systems.
