Endurance lasers SETI program will launch 2022.
Investigation of the issue related to the transmission of a signal in the 400-1100 nm spectrum to other stellar systems with the aim of contacting alien civilizations, as well as detecting a possible signal on Earth using available technologies.
Signal transmission
To transmit the signal, it is necessary to assemble a virtual telescope with a large aperture.
For signal transmission, it is planned to use several types of lasers 445 nm diode multimode with a power of 10 W
1064nm 10W Nd: YAG single-mode.
The main task is to increase the transmitter aperture and provide wave interference at a distance of 4-50 light-years.
Signal detection
It will be possible to detect signals from exoplanets with long-term observation (at least 1 year) and detection of constant and periodic impulses.
It is supposed to detect in the 400-1100 nm spectrum with a minimum signal duration of 1 μs.
The operating frequency of the detectors is 10-25 MHz.
The minimum sensitivity will be 5-10 photons.
The signal will be filtered by a narrow-band filter, spectrometer and photon detector.
