I reside in Ontario, Canada, in a little town called Amaranath. I am originally from Chile, South America and am fluent in Spanish as well.
Currently employed (teleworker) as a Project Manager with a payments solutions company in California but hacker at heart!
I consider myself a “Jack of all trades, master of none”. I am a computer “nerd” and have always been fascinated with how things work both electronically and mechanically. CNC Machines have always interested me and I finally got into this in hobby mode 3 years ago and it’s been a very fun ride.
My first CNC machine was a very small desktop version from a company from the Czech Republic (Wegstr CNC) and was (and still is) an amazing machine and a great way to get my feet wet but the size was too small. I then found a company in the USA that had a very good entry level machine and the size was right for my needs. That company is Millright and I own the CarveKing model.
Last year I purchased my first laser from another vendor and it was great but then I found Endurance laser and couldn’t resist the 10watt offerings. Recently I have also gotten into 3D printing (many similarities with CNC) and am anxiously waiting for September to come as I have placed an order on a CNC Plasma table.
On the 3D printer side I own 3 Monoprice MP Select Mini (my mini printer farm) and is what I used to print my enclosure box for my Endurance electronic components.
Here are some of the softwares I use for both CNC and 3D printing (to name a few):
- Mach3
- UGS (Universal GCode Sender)
- bCNC
- LaserWeb
- LaserGRBL
- LightBurn
- Simplify3D (slicer)
For design software and tools:
- Autodesk Fusion 360
- Vectric Aspire, VCarve Pro
- Adobe Suite of products
- Vector Magic (for converting my artwork to vectors for Lasing)
- ZBrush
Like I said I am not the “EXPERT” per say but I am here to help!
Cheers!
